what are you guys using for front rotors/pads? my front pads need changing this winter... and both of my front rotors are below their minimum thickness.. so if I need to replace the rotors.. might as well upgrade..

I was thinking about a set of StopTech drilled/slotted rotors that leo sells...

Talk to Leo about the Rightstuff Detailing line - I used it on mine as a complete conversion at all four corners and it's been flawless - even with a bigger cam like I am running I have no issues with fade or lack of pressure due to low vacuum.

If you're not looking for "show car grade" Right stuff is the way to go - they simply work. And the MC and Booster is chromed - if memory serves, I think I came in under 1500 including the stainless lines to replace all the old stuff. It might have been more but I don't think so. After 4 years since install the MC and Booster still shine like new - and that's with the car outside all the time and all the gravel dust, pollen, and whatever else floating in the air.

No I don't have slotted and drilled rotors, and my calibers are gunmetal instead of some garish red orange purple or whatever other silliness they seem to like these days - but the proof they are best bang for the buck was the 1st time I headed down the mountain with my pucker factor at 100% because I was worried about how they would perform on this steep terrain. You really have to drive up here to know what I am talking about, there are 300 yard 10+ % grades on this mountain where you're one the brake almost non stop - and they have never once felt like they were fading, getting hot or soft.
I think they look cool behind my Centerlines as well.. but beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess.

didn't realize I never finished this post!!! you know the rules... no pics it didn't happen wink

i ended up ordering a pair of slotted/drilled rotors from Summit Racing and a set of Ceramic Brake pads... it's got some serious braking power now.. the ceramic pads bite harder the hotter they get smile

I didn't upgrade the calipers... i have further plans for those when $$$ allows

Could have painted the calipers to make it look like you did. Much cheaper. laugh
