Guys, I'm starting the powder coat business - finally.

It's a small - (tiny even) business at this stage, but I have a few leads on some small jobs and real customers. I'm working out of the home shop at this point but I have eyes on a property that I Can build a full scale oven in and expand into full scale high volume productions.
So here is a link to my new web site, it's real basic and needs some TLC yet, but it'll get there.

Volunteer Powder Coating Services

i am currently set up to media blast, prep and powder coat and I can handle:

  • Engine Brackets
    Suspension components
    Valve Covers
    Intake Manifolds
    Metal Rims
Exhaust manifolds / headers * Note these are done using CeraKote ceramic coating - not powder as the powder will not hold up to the heat of an exhaust system.

If you are in the local area and have items you need coated - drop me a line - I'm sure I can get you set up. smile

If you're not local, well drop them in the mail - PM me for shipping information and I'll generally get your parts turned around in about a week.

Thanks folks, and.... wish me luck!

Fantastic!!

Good Luck Brother. When I move toward working on my Bike, I have a bunch of shiny parts that I want black powder on. You will be my first call.

I hope this turns out to be all you want it to be.

Here's some finished work - this is a 5.7 L for a 94 Siverado I purchased, and decided to replace the engine in.

The valve covers are done in a Translucent Red - the manifold in what's called Bengal silver.

Looks good. Too bad you really can't get a good feel for it in pictures. I love PC but pictures could just be paint and look as good.

You definitely need a bigger oven. laugh

You can build it fairly cheap. When I was looking to buy a house last year, one of the houses we stopped and looked at had one in the garage that the owner had built. He pointed me to this.

We started up the Ceramic Coating side, this is a shot of the shortie headers we are putting in a 94 Silverado.

The coating is Carakote Glacial Silver - it has a lower shine, and when cured gives a nice silver matte finish.

Volunteer Powder will do your headers for 75.00 a set, so keep us in mind before you pull the trigger on a set already coated from Summit or elsewhere - FGMC members and Vetrans get 10% off as well !!
